
This morning, a fatal hit-and-run incident in Orange County left one man dead, and authorities are searching for the vehicle involved. According to WFTV, the Florida Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 6:48 a.m. near Sandy Creek Lane and East Colonial Drive.
The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was standing on the grassy shoulder when struck by the offending vehicle, which has been identified as possibly a Toyota Camry ranging from the years 2004 to 2015. "The car should have damage to the front grill portion, front headlights, and front windshield," troopers stated, as per WFTV. Investigators found part of the vehicle that may have been linked to the car in the aftermath of the crash.
The driver of the Camry fled the scene after the collision, leaving the victim pronounced dead at the location. The search for the driver is active, with authorities urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
