The search for a missing Mansfield teen came to a tragic end this week. Trentin Isaac, 16, was found dead in Harrison County today after being missing since last Tuesday. Authorities transported his body to the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office due to "suspicious circumstances," raising distressing questions about the teen's disappearance and death.
According to Mansfield Police Chief Jason Bammann, in remarks given to WKYC, "Mansfield Police Detectives are currently working with state and local authorities as there are more questions than answers at this point." The ongoing investigation hopes to provide both the family and the community with some closure by diligently working to "bring justice to the individuals who committed this act." Likewise, a statement obtained by Cleveland19 echoed this commitment.
Mansfield police are urging the public to assist in the investigation. They request that anyone in possession of videos, photographs, or social media content related to Isaac or the circumstances of his disappearance contact authorities. Detective Ronee Swisher at the Mansfield Division of Police can be reached at 419-755-9432, a number disseminated across multiple news outlets in hopes of gathering crucial evidence.
At the moment, there's a cloud of uncertainty surrounding the case. "Again, detectives investigating the case have received numerous unverified tips and rumors concerning videos and social media posts, but no such evidence has been submitted to Mansfield Police," as was released in a press release covered by WKYC.
