A Milwaukee man is facing serious charges after allegedly attacking a Milwaukee Public Schools teacher at Bruce Elementary School. Eddie Dewayne Caldwell, 53, has been charged with battery to a school district officer and disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred in front of students on October 29, as reported by FOX6 News.

According to court records cited by WISN, a warrant has been issued for Caldwell's arrest. Witnesses stated that the teacher, identified in an interview by TMJ4 as Shericka Nelson, was assaulted in a classroom setting in front of five adults and 29 students. Nelson recalled the day, saying it started with excitement for the children's trick-or-treat activities but quickly soured when confronted by Caldwell.

Details of the assault emerged claiming Caldwell became aggressive after accusing Nelson of hitting his son. "He said, “My son told me that you hit him and also held him while another child hit him.” I said, “No, that's not true. That's not what happened. I said, If you want to step out, that’s when he cut me off," Nelson told TMJ4. According to the criminal complaint, Caldwell proceeded to push the teacher against a wall and strike her in the head multiple times.
