In a scene that may seem to be straight out of a Hollywood action flick, Minneapolis deputies faced an unconventional escape attempt during a warrant arrest that turned into a wall-breaking chase. According to a social media post from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the deputies intended to apprehend a suspect wanted for felony assault but were met with an unexpected turn of events when the man tried to hastily make his getaway through a self-created exit.
The ordeal began when 27-year-old Yassin Abdirahman broke through the walls of his basement into a neighboring apartment. Amid the chaos, K9 Toro was sent to track him down. The dog uncovered the suspect hiding in a closet full of clothes, as per the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
Following the successful K9-assisted search operation, Abdirahman was consequently arrested. He not only faced his original felony assault warrant but also racked up additional charges for 1st-degree burglary due to his unscheduled break-in into the neighboring unit.
