Relief swept through the Minneapolis community as the Minneapolis Police Department announced, through a social media post, that Sincere Hopewell, the 11-year-old boy reported missing since November 13th, has been found safe. The circumstances of Sincere's disappearance and the details of his recovery have not been disclosed.
Before his safe location, the Minneapolis Police issued an appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the young boy. Sincere Hopewell was last seen going east on West Broadway from Knox Ave N. Members of the community were advised to actively look out for Sincere, described as a black male, roughly 4 feet tall, with a body weight of 90 lbs, and identifiable by freckles on his face, brown eyes, and black hair. He was last spotted wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt with a "Champions" logo, blue jeans, and grey Puma sneakers. The public was encouraged to directly call 911 upon seeing him.
Sincere's image and details were widely circulated, with particular mention of his tendency to frequent buses and the downtown area. The Minneapolis Police, alongside Metro Transit authorities, were swiftly coordinating the search. The department also provided various channels for the public to offer tips, including an email address, [email protected], a voicemail number, and the option to anonymously contact Crimestoppers, an avenue to share information that might aid in the search.
With the case reaching its conclusion with a positive outcome, authorities are yet to provide a full briefing on the series of events. Reassurance has been given, though, that Sincere is in good health following his period of absence.
