
A tragic incident occurred in Modesto early this morning when a 35-year-old resident lost their life in a vehicle collision. The crash involved a single vehicle, and it was at the intersection of Pelandale Avenue and Tully Road that Modesto Police Department officers discovered the aftermath at about 2:15 a.m. Police have confirmed the vehicle, a silver 2008 Acura MDX, had struck a traffic signal pole, leading to the driver's severe injuries, as reported by ABC10.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement promptly rendered aid to the driver; however, the individual succumbed to their injuries after being transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Due to the incident's urgency, the department’s Traffic Safety Unit is now leading the ongoing investigation to determine the events that led to the fatal crash.
