An annual Halloween parade in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, sparked outrage due to a float many found offensive. The offending entry featured a portrayal of former President Donald Trump in a golf cart, accompanied by figures costumed as Secret Service agents, with a faux sniper rifle atop the vehicle. The parade garnered significant attention when it depicted Vice President Kamala Harris in chains, pulled behind the cart. According to reports from WPXI, attendees and the mayor denounced the float for its inappropriate imagery.
Bailey was asked how the float was approved to enter the parade line. “That is a legitimate question, and I cannot answer that totally,” Bailey responded. As per Live 5 News, he scheduled meetings to discuss the incident with borough officials.
The parade, hosted by the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, saw them swiftly apologize for the oversight. "We do not share in the values represented by those participants and we understand how it may have hurt or offended members of our community," they relayed in a statement detailed by WPXI.
