A Nashville woman was taken into custody after an unusual break-in at a home on Old Hickory Boulevard. Laquinta Thomas, 41, was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary for an incident that involved her allegedly taking a shower, eating food, and dressing in the homeowner's clothes, according to WKRN. Thomas told police that she decided to enter the house post being involved in a car accident in the vicinity.

The homeowner returned Sunday afternoon only to find indicators of the unwelcomed visit: an open glove compartment in her car and food left out in the kitchen. Feeling something was amiss, "I went and got into my car and called the police," she explained in an interview obtained by WSMV4. A surprise awaited the officers as they found Thomas "just laying on the couch watching tv having snacks” in the property's guest house. Officers found Thomas to be wearing an old unicorn onesie belonging to the homeowner's daughter.

While details of the case continue to surface, it has been confirmed that Thomas is being held in Metro jail on a $25,000 bond. The initial search inside the main house turned up empty, but upon the homeowner's information of a guest house on the property, Thomas was discovered undisturbed until her arrest. "My first thoughts were something is wrong," said the homeowner, recounting her discomfort upon noticing the remnants of Thomas's intrusion, including food items strategically relocated from the main house to the guest refrigerator, detailed in a statement to WSMV4.
