A tragic accident occurred in Nashville last Saturday night, claiming the life of a local woman. WSMV reports that 32-year-old Skylar Scott of Whites Creek was killed following a single-vehicle crash in the 4900 block of Clarksville Highway. Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the incident, noting that Scott's SUV veered off the road into an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times.
The accident, which happened around 8:30 p.m., led to Scott being ejected from the car. Although her passenger did not suffer serious injuries, both were found to be not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Before the accident, the passenger reportedly implored Scott to decelerate, as per a statement obtained by FOX17.
Emergency services rushed Scott to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. In the aftermath, the Metro Nashville Police highlighted the evident loss of control of the vehicle which led to this devastating outcome. No immediate cause for the loss of control was specified at the scene.
A toxicology report is pending to determine whether impairment is a factor in the crash, according to WKRN.
