A five-month manhunt has culminated in the arrest of David Duncan, a 70-year-old man from New Hampshire, who was wanted on allegations of sexually assaulting minors. Bradenton police officials confirmed they took Duncan into custody after they located him living out of a vehicle.
According to FOX 13 News, the Campton, New Hampshire, Police Department had been investigating Duncan since June. They reached out to the Bradenton Police Department when they discovered that Duncan was potentially in Florida, using a Post Office box in a local Bradenton area to maintain his anonymity.
The Bradenton Police Department used a subtle approach to ensure Duncan's arrest by engaging with him to build a connection and keep track of his activities, as reported by WTSP.
With the arrest warrant secured, Bradenton police moved in on Friday last week. Duncan now faces numerous charges, including six counts of aggravated felony sexual assault on a minor, according to an abc Action News report. He is currently being held at the Manatee County Jail, where he awaits extradition to New Hampshire to face his charges.
