The incident, which occurred in the vicinity of 1212 West Parmer Lane close to North Lamar Blvd and not far from Interstate 35, was first attended by Austin Police Department detectives following a shoot/stab urgent call at approximately 1:39 p.m.; they discovered the victim with gunshot wounds and although Austin-Travis County EMS personnel made life-saving attempts, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to police spokespeople and initial reports.
