
An incident struck when 23-year-old Anwar Jackson, shortly after being dropped off by a rideshare at his home on Jasper Ridge in North Harris County, died from injuries sustained during a robbery that escalated into violence.
Click2Houston reports that the incident occurred on September 27, and during the encounter with multiple assailants, Anwar was shot in the stomach and had been hospitalized fighting for his life since.
The aftermath of this senseless violence has led to an upgraded charge for 31-year-old Andre D. Jackson. Originally held on charges of aggravated robbery, with Anwar's death, those charges have taken a more severe turn to capital murder, as stated by the Harris County Sheriff's office, through an X post.
Arrest update: Andre D. Jackson (4-3-93) has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of Anwar Jackson (23).
