NYPD Urgently Seeks Public's Help to Locate Missing Teen with Autism in Manhattan

The New York Police Department has issued an urgent request for assistance in locating a missing teenager with autism, who was last seen in Manhattan. According to a report from PIX11, 16-year-old Seth Abodo was last observed boarding a M100 Bus #8553 at the intersection of West 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue on Friday, approximately at 2:20 p.m.

Authorities have expressed particular concern for Abodo's well-being as he is non-verbal and may be in need of medical attention. The NYPD describing him as roughly 5’10” in height and weighing around 150 pounds. In their effort to find him, the NYPD have used social media to extend their reach, urging anyone within the city to keep an eye out for the young boy who could possibly continue to ride on buses across the boroughs. Seth was last seen wearing a brown, black, and white printed shirt over a white t-shirt paired with gray pants.

The search for Abodo has garnered substantial attention on platforms such as Twitter, where the NYPD Missing Persons has issued pleas to the public for help. In a social media post, they detailed Seth's description and his last known whereabouts, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. "Seth Abodo, M/B-16YO, 5'10", 152lbs, Non-Verbal Autistic, last seen 11-01-24, approx-2:20PM, V/O W. 125 St & Amsterdam Ave #NY wearing Leopard print top shirt, White T-shirt & Gray pants & may ride buses," read the post.

The NYPD has urged anyone with information to step forward and assist in bringing Seth home safely. They've provided a hotline at (800) 557-8477 for tips and have stressed that individuals can also directly contact 911 with any immediate sightings.
