
Tragedy struck a south Las Vegas community early Saturday morning when a fire engulfed a condominium, resulting in one death, one hospitalized individual, and the displacement of 14 residents. The Clark County Fire Department received reports of the blaze at a single-story, multi-family home within the Paradise Spas Condominiums on Las Vegas Boulevard near Richmar Avenue at approximately 12:47 a.m., as reported by FOX5 Vegas.
Upon arrival, firefighters faced the formidable task of containing the flames, which had taken hold of the building, and searching for residents potentially trapped. One person was confirmed deceased at the scene, while another was transported to the hospital in stable condition, the Clark County Fire Department described. The early morning disaster not only claimed lives and wellbeing but also left numerous pets in need of rescue, and an estimated $500,000 in damages, according to details furnished by 8 News Now.
The fire incident drew a significant response from emergency services, as 51 personnel were on the scene, which included eight engines, two trucks, two rescues, and an air resource among others, to manage and ultimately extinguish the fire.
