A pedestrian tragedy struck just north of Maitland, Florida, when a 77-year-old Orlando man was fatally injured after an SUV driven by a 32-year-old Orlando woman collided with him. The incident occurred on U.S. 17-92 at Lakewood Circle around 8:49 a.m., as reported by ClickOrlando.
The victim was promptly transported to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, where he was pronounced dead. The 2024 Kia Sportage involved in the crash was operated by the Orlando woman, who reportedly did not sustain injuries in the accident and remained at the scene cooperating with law enforcement, as detailed by WESH.
