An Orlando man with a history of felony convictions has been found guilty of illegal ammunition possession. According to the United States Attorney's Office, David Lewis Andrew Bryan, aged 36, could now face up to 15 years in federal prison following the federal jury’s decision.

The conviction stems from two separate incidents wherein Bryan was caught having ammunition in his possession. The first, a traffic stop on July 2, 2023, revealed a loaded antique firearm hidden in his waistband. Later, on October 26, 2023, Orlando Police located two additional loaded antique firearms during a search of Bryan’s home.

During his two-day trial, it was established that Bryan had admitted ownership of both the firearms and the ammunition found. The jury’s guilty verdict on two counts of possession marks yet another chapter in Bryan’s extensive criminal record. With a sentencing date set for February 12, 2025, Bryan will return to the courtroom to learn his fate.

This case is part of a broader initiative, Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), aimed to combat violent crime and, specifically, gun violence. PSN collaborates across all levels of law enforcement and community-based organizations to quickly reduce violent crime and improve neighborhood safety.

Assistant United States Attorney Adam J. Nate prosecuted this case with investigative support from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives alongside the Orlando Police Department.
