An Osceola County mother is in custody following the death of her 14-year-old daughter, who was discovered unresponsive in their Poinciana home on Wednesday. Sheriff Marcos Lopez, as reported by WESH, indicated that the authorities had arrested 35-year-old Kelsey Glover on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. The deceased was identified as Giselle Glover, and an investigation into the cause of her death is currently underway.
According to statements from the sheriff’s office, deputies had to physically subdue Glover and remove a hammer from her possession upon their arrival at the scene. "Witnesses also told deputies that they saw Ms. Glover holding her 14-year-old daughter's head underwater in the bathtub," Lopez said, detailing the distressing events witnessed by another child and a roommate who were present at the time. However, previous domestic incidents in the residence included only one known altercation between Kelsey Glover and the children's father, as detailed by ClickOrlando.
Following the incident, Giselle Glover was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. As the authorities await a report from the medical examiner's office, a full homicide investigation has been launched.
