Heads up, Oviedo drivers: A portion of Aulin Avenue is about to get a little squeeze. The City of Oviedo has announced that the northbound lane of Aulin Avenue, just south of Douglass Avenue, will be off-limits on Monday, November 4th, and Tuesday, November 5th. The closure, which runs from 9 AM to 3 PM on both days, is necessary for some pressing utility work, so plan your commutes accordingly.
It's not all bad news, though. The city has promised to implement traffic maintenance measures to ensure everyone gets where they need to go without too much hassle. According to the City of Oviedo's official release, motorists should expect "proper maintenance of traffic will be in place to route vehicles safely around the work zone."
If you often use this route, it’s important to plan for detours. The extra time it takes may be longer due to curious passersby slowing down to watch the work.
