
Last Friday morning, tragedy struck in Owings Mills when a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle. Baltimore County Police Department officers were called to the scene at Owings Mills Boulevard and Interstate 795 around 4:30 a.m. following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Ford Explorer.
Details from the Baltimore County Police revealed that the pedestrian, later identified as 24-year-old Brandon Coby, was attempting to cross Owings Mills Blvd when the accident occurred. The driver of the 2013 Ford Explorer involved in the crash stayed on scene, cooperating with law enforcement officials. As per an official post by the Baltimore County Police Department, Coby was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is investigating the crash, looking into factors like road conditions, traffic signals, and lighting. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to come forward to help the investigation and potentially prevent future accidents.
