Kōloa residents and those commuting through the area, take note—Weliweli Road is getting a little work done. Between December 2 and December 4, a stretch of the road will be partially shut down to allow the installation of a temporary waterline. The crew from Cushnie Construction, Inc., under the guidance of the Department of Public Works, will be on-site from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., assuming the weather plays nice, according to the County of Kaua'i.
For anyone planning to navigate this part of Kōloa during those days, expect to be detoured or delayed. The construction will enforce a one-lane closure, flipping between westbound and eastbound closures as needed throughout the work period, as reported by the County of Kaua'i.
If you've got questions or just need to voice a concern, two lines are open for you. Leanne Hubbard at Cushnie Construction can be reached at 808-332-9000, or should you prefer a direct line to the Department of Public Works, Brock Tacata is the go-to at 808-241-4995, as per the County of Kaua'i.
