A pedestrian fatality has struck the North Sacramento community as a man was hit by a vehicle last night. According to KCRA 3, the incident occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Norwood and Bell avenues. The Sacramento Police Department confirmed the male pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
While the area of Norwood and Bell Avenues was advised to be avoided for much of the evening due to the crash investigation, the roads have since reopened. The driver, described only as an adult male, remained on-site and cooperated with officers, as per CBS News Sacramento. Details surrounding the cause of the collision are still under investigation.
