A tragic incident unfolded in Arleta on Wednesday night when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run. CBS Los Angeles reported that the incident happened approximately at 8:20 p.m. on the 14000 block of W. Terra Bella Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department's alert, emergency crews responded to the scene where they found the victim, whose identity has yet to be released, deceased on the street.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently actively investigating the crash as a hit-and-run after the driver involved in the collision quickly fled the area. As of now, authorities have not identified a suspect or the vehicle involved. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the fatality have not been made available at this time.
Footage from SkyCal showed a white canopy set up over the victim's body at the location of the crash, while LAPD detectives worked in its vicinity.
