
Philadelphia residents can expect a change in weather over the next several days. Starting today with increasing clouds and a high near 61 degrees, conditions are set to remain mostly cloudy with a calm wind transitioning throughout the day. The current humidity level holds at 63%, and the wind chill makes it feel like a cooler 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight the temperature will drop to around 49 degrees, with a southwest wind maintaining a gentle presence at around 5 mph. Wednesday's forecast introduces a 20% chance of rain after 4 pm, continuing into Wednesday night where rain is certain, and temperatures will dip to approximately 44 degrees. An east wind picking up to a breezy 15 to 20 mph after midnight, could bring in between a quarter to a half-inch of rainfall.
The latter part of the week will see variances in precipitation and gusty conditions. Thursday morning showers are likely before 7 am with a high near 51 degrees forecasted. A 60% chance of precipitation is on the books, carrying potential additional rainfall between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. "A chance of showers, mainly after 1am," according to National Weather Service, with a low around 36 degrees.
Friday's chance of showers after 1 pm brings a 40% chance of precipitation, yet the daytime high will only reach near 46 degrees. Most of the upcoming night will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures settling at around 40 degrees. NWS anticipates a partly sunny Saturday, followed by a mostly cloudy evening. As we look toward the end of the weekend and into Monday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 53 on Sunday and partly sunny conditions, by Monday, with temperatures hovering around 54 degrees.
