
Relief and gratitude are palpable in the Philadelphia community as missing juvenile sisters Kamiyah Bryant and Sanijah Rivers from the 14th District have safely returned home. The Philadelphia Police Department had reached out to residents for assistance in locating the sisters who were last seen on Tuesday. The two girls, Kamiyah at age 14, and Sanijah age 9, had disappeared from the 3xx block of E Tulehocken St around 5:00 pm, prompting immediate concern for their welfare.
Descriptions of the siblings were widely circulated in an effort to aid the search. Kamiyah Bryant, described as 5’5” and 160 pounds with brown eyes and long black hair, was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark pants, and New Balance sneakers. Her younger sister, Sanijah Rivers, was noted for her thin build, standing 4’4″ and weighing roughly 90 pounds, with brown eyes and black braided shoulder-length hair; she was last spotted in a pink/black coat, pink colored PJ pants, and similarly, New Balance sneakers.
Details concerning the circumstances of their disappearance and how they eventually made their way back home remain unclear. The Police Department has not released additional information regarding the resolution of this case.
