
The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in the search for David Doherty, a 75-year-old Black man who has been reported missing. Doherty, described as 5’6” tall and weighing 160 lbs, was last seen over a week ago in the vicinity of his residence at 10xx S Colorado St.
On the day of his disappearance, Doherty was wearing a brown and blue vest jacket, jeans and work boots. The circumstances of his disappearance have not been made public, efforts to locate him have been ongoing since he was last seen on October 24. In their quest to gather information that could lead to Doherty's location, authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward.
Concerns for Doherty's wellbeing are heightened due to his age and the length of time, he has been missing. Community members have been prompted to assist in the search and spread word of his disappearance, with the hopes that someone may recognize him and provide valuable information to the police.

The Philadelphia Police have made his photograph and a description of his last known appearance available to assist the public in identifying him.
