After a tough 37-9 loss to Louisville, Pittsburgh is dealing with the loss of quarterback Holstein, who left the game with a leg injury requiring an air cast. Yarnell stepped in, throwing for 96 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Walk-on freshman David Lynch, who finished the game, will likely back up Yarnell. Head coach Pat Narduzzi hinted that Holstein might return for a bowl game.
On the other hand, Boston College is coming off a bowl-eligibility-clinching victory over North Carolina, aiming to extend its current form against a Pitt team stuck in a slipping streak.
