In a recent incident of reckless driving around a school bus in Plymouth, local police have taken action against a resident for her dangerous maneuver. On the morning of November 22, at about 8:45 am, Plymouth Police were alerted to a vehicle that audaciously passed a school bus picking up children, as reported on the Plymouth Police Department's Facebook page. The bus had its red lights activated – a universal sign to stop – and yet, a white SUV used a private driveway to illegally pass it.
According to the Plymouth Police Department's post, the footage was pivotal in concluding their investigation and pressing charges against the driver. Brenda Mello, the 59-year-old Plymouth resident behind the wheel, now faces charges including failure to stop for a school bus, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and assault through a dangerous weapon.
