An investigation is presently unfolding after a woman was fatally shot yesterday inside a Southwest Houston liquor store. Houston Police Department officers were called to the scene at the Ralston Discount Liquor, located at 14370 South Post Oak Road, around 12:45 p.m. following reports of gunfire, according to a report by Click2Houston.
Authorities have suggested that the shooting may be linked to a robbery. The woman, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was found deceased inside the establishment, which sits just inside Beltway 8. A heavy police presence enveloped the area with the parking lot cordoned off by crime scene tape, as evidenced by video footage from the scene.
The Houston Police Department has not released further information about the circumstances leading to the shooting nor have they confirmed any arrests in connection to the incident.
