Emergency crews were called to a blaze at Envy, a nightclub and event venue in the 1000 block of Duquesne Boulevard, on Friday evening before 7 p.m. The fire led to the shutdown of Duquesne Boulevard between Hoffman Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue, which has since been reopened, as reported by WPXI.

As the fire reportedly broke out in the basement of The Garden at Envy, approximately 30 patrons were quickly evacuated outside. Firefighters worked on the challenge to extinguish flames that started to spread through the floors. "To get to the fire location, it was a unique situation because of it being in a subdivision. There was a crawl space we had to go about the length of the building to get back to the fire to get water on it," Fire Chief Frank Cobb elucidated in a statement detailed by WTAE.

The Allegheny County fire marshal is investigating the fire. No injuries have been reported. The nightspot will stay closed until a building inspector checks the damage and approves reopening.
