Rancho Cordova Police arrested one individual on drug-related charges during a recent patrol. Officers were surveilling a neighborhood when they noticed a group by a parked car, allegedly handling drug paraphernalia.
According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department Facebook post, after contacting the group, officers found about 45 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of Xanax, over $550 in cash, and drug-related items. Only one individual was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances.
Drug abuse remains a concern for many communities, and local authorities use patrols to address the issue. The case is still under investigation.
