Residents and business owners along New Bridge Street can expect progress as construction continues on the city’s infrastructure improvements. City officials report that contractors have completed significant work on the far end of the street, including a new storm drain, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and parking medians, as reported by the City of Jacksonville.
Jacksonville Parks crews have planted new greenery and are taking care of it. In November, the city is increasing its development efforts, with crews working on various improvements. Heurth Street is currently having a storm drain installed, while Warlick Street has completed its drainage system and is now upgrading sidewalks and lighting, according to the City of Jacksonville.
Progress continues along the sidewalks between Labor Finders and Johnson Drug, where old pathways have been removed and new ones are being built. Along with this, security lighting and utility strips are being installed. The Conference Center and Chill Zone are also having their walkways updated in preparation for similar improvements, as stated by the City of Jacksonville. In the first week of November, a 175-foot storm drain will be installed near Advantage Auto as part of improvements on New Bridge Street. After this, the city will finish paving the road, with completion expected in December.
