The accident occurred near the crossing at 1st Street and Patterson Road, as confirmed by Riverbank Police Services. The unidentified individual was found deceased beneath the Atchison Road overpass. According to police sources, there is an indication that the incident might have been a suicide.
Following the event, the affected intersection was closed for over an hour, with traffic diverted as authorities attended to the scene. Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Erich Layton announced that initial investigation details were anticipated to be shared in the afternoon. "Investigators were trying to identify the person killed," Layton reported to The Mod Bee.
