On October 25, the Sacramento Police responded to reports of a disturbance at Downtown Commons (DOCO) around 9 p.m., causing the crowd to panic and resulting in three injuries. After sweeping the area, authorities confirmed the noise was caused by fireworks, not gunshots. Due to the chaos, the Golden 1 Center initially rescheduled the concert to the following night, but staffing issues led to another postponement. In a statement to FOX40, the venue confirmed that tickets from the original date would be honored for the rescheduled show on January 5.

Rod Wave, known for blending hip-hop and R&B in his "trap-soul" style, is set to make the wait worthwhile. The rescheduled concert on January 5 will also feature performances by Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, and other artists, as per FOX 40.
