Two individuals were found deceased with gunshot wounds in a residence in Antelope yesterday, in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide. The discovery was made after Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home located along the 3900 block of Running Bear Way at approximately 4 p.m., following a welfare check request.

The call for a welfare check was prompted after a neighbor reported not having seen the pair for about a week, as per FOX40. The neighbor, who had just returned from a trip, decided to quickly address the growing concern for the couple, believed to be in their 50s.

When deputies arrived, they saw through the window a person lying on the ground. Inside, they found a man and a woman who had both been shot and confirmed dead. Their identities have not been released as the investigation continues. A sheriff's office spokesperson told KCRA that the cause of the shooting is still unknown.

Anyone with information related to this incident is being urged to reach out to the sheriff’s office. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office is seeking information to help clarify the details of the incident, as per the abc10 report.
