On October 15, it was confirmed that Pete Hosea Castillo's death was a homicide resulting from multiple gunshot wounds. His body was found concealed beneath a carpet or tarp in the passenger seat of a golf cart along the North Salado Creek Greenway System. A park police officer discovered the body while patrolling the area behind the park, as reported by the KSAT.
