In their continuing probe into a homicide from earlier this year, the San Antonio Police Department has made a public appeal for assistance through the release of surveillance footage that could hold keys to resolving the case. The video, disclosed to the public this past week, captures two individuals moments before a fatal shooting on South San Marcos Street.
Caught on tape just shy of 11 p.m. on May 19, the video displays an individual clad in jeans and a backpack, who is seen handing off a firearm to another wearing shorts, News 4 San Antonio reports. The footage's revelation trails an incident where officers were called to a scene of gunfire that led to the death of 33-year-old Miguel Marquez.
The authorities have cast a net wide, urging that anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the suspects reach out. According to FOX San Antonio, investigators are specifically interested in tips from individuals who recognize the people in the surveillance video.
As the department intensifies efforts to close this case, "Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals in the video to contact the San Antonio Police Department immediately," detectives advise, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
