A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Sanford man last night in Lake County. According to ClickOrlando, the incident occurred around 5:03 p.m. when the rider lost control of his Harley Davidson FXLRS on State Road 44, near Bottany Woods Drive.
The 57-year-old motorcyclist was reportedly traveling southbound when he could not handle a curve and veered off the road, subsequently hitting a concrete mailbox. The impact was severe enough to throw him off the bike, leading to critical injuries, which later resulted in his death at AdventHealth DeLand, as reported by Inside Lake.
The Florida Highway Patrol hasn't released the victim's name as they continue investigating the crash.
