
A tragic incident in Schaumburg on Monday evening claimed the life of a 12-year-old girl after she was struck by a vehicle. According to ABC 7 Chicago, the girl has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Angela Guan. Schaumburg Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Algonquin Road and Thoreau Drive shortly after the incident occurred.
The details surrounding the event are still unfolding, but authorities acknowledge that the child was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and unfortunately did not survive. Police have yet to publicly confirm what specifically led up to the accident or to identify any other parties involved.
