Boyd, a Black man standing at 6′1″ with gray hair and black eyes, is a recognizable figure whom authorities are hoping to quickly locate. With the task to not only find but also ensure Boyd's safety, law enforcement agencies and community resources, including area hospitals, the coroner's office, Nevada State Police, and the Regional Transportation Commission have been putting in concerted efforts. In details obtained by 8 News Now, these entities have yet to yield results in Boyd's discovery.
Boyd was last observed in the vicinity of 2860 E. Cheyenne Avenue, near the College of Southern Nevada's North Las Vegas campus. A Silver Alert has been issued for Boyd, an alert designed specifically for missing adults, especially seniors with serious health conditions. The system is a critical tool in aiding the immediate search efforts for individuals such as Boyd, as per 8 News Now.
The North Las Vegas Police Department is leading the search and have been checking various locations where Boyd could potentially be found. Police "contacted local hospitals, jails, the coroner’s office, Nevada State Police, and the RTC but have not been able to locate Boyd," according to a statement by 8 News Now.
