
A man was shot and killed in Seattle's University District neighborhood on Saturday night, prompting a homicide investigation by local authorities. The Seattle Police Department reported via their official blotter that the incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. in the 4500 block of Brooklyn Avenue NE.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found a 31-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest. Efforts to save the man were undertaken by the Seattle Fire Department who arrived quickly after the police, but tragically, they were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Taken into custody at the scene, a 40-year-old man was also located, as per the SPD Blotter report.
The man apprehended is currently undergoing questioning by the homicide detectives at the Seattle Police Headquarters.
