"This year’s Holiday in the Park event will bring all-new Christmas magic to North Texas," said Richard Douaihy, park president, showcasing a promise for more lights, more shows, and more holiday spirit, as per the City of Arlington.
In a page straight out of Santa's book, the park has unwrapped a slew of new attractions that will blanket the premises with unadulterated yuletide joy. Glowing at the center of the additions is a nightly Tree Lighting Ceremony, complete with zany dancing elves and Santa himself. But it's not all fa-la-la and eggnog; the event is diversifying its offerings, throwing Haunted House, Krampus in Paradise into the mix, likely chilling spines in a more literal way than the winter breeze. Families with a sweet tooth can dive into Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, letting the icing and candy pieces hit where they may, as they decorate their sugary constructions.
We're also seeing the debut of shows that promise to make every night feel like Christmas Eve. "FROST," a cirque-style spectacle, is set to bedazzle audiences with acrobatics and dance routines, while the Holly Jolly Trolley brings an "old-fashioned charm" to the tracks, according to the City of Arlington. Adding to the stage are Yule Logs and The MistleTones, melodious additions tuning in the park with holiday chords.
The park is bringing back attractions like Storytime with Mrs. Claus, Holidaze Dance Party with the Looney Tunes, and the Merry Marketplace that boasts seasonal treats and crafts. Themed attractions such as Christmas in Speelunker Cave and Dino Holiday Safari beckon with their familiar charm, a solace to the patrons looking for the classics amidst the new frosted flair. As kids pen their wishes in the North Pole Post Office, they are found a merry concoction of both letters and heartfelt gifts, fostering the spirit of giving.
