A Sonoma County man, once convicted and now found in possession of multiple firearms and ammunition, was taken into custody following a search warrant executed by local authorities. In a coordinated effort yesterday, detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Sonoma County Auto Theft Task Force, targeted a residence on the 1400 block of Sanders Road, where they contacted the resident, 55-year-old Raymond Rochioli, as detailed in a post on the Sonoma Sheriff's Facebook page.

Despite Rochioli’s standing as a convicted felon, which prohibits him from owning firearms or ammunition, authorities uncovered several guns, including an Uzi submachine gun. They also found a 20-foot Interstate trailer that had been reported stolen out of Santa Rosa in 2021. He was subsequently booked into the Sonoma County Jail, where he remains held on $50,000 bail.

The charges pressed against Rochioli cover a range of firearms violations: felon in possession of ammunition, possession of an assault rifle, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a short-barreled rifle, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
