ABC7 noted that establishments like Applebee’s and Buffalo Wild Wings did not fall behind, offering free meals off the Veterans Day menu and boneless wings and fries, respectively. The wave of gratitude didn’t stop there. "This gesture symbolizes our admiration and respect for those who are currently serving in a branch of the U.S. military or those who once wore the uniform," Jamie Richardson, VP at White Castle, said amidst offering free meals to veterans as a sign of respect. Moreover, as per NBC Los Angeles, Firehouse Subs joined in with complimentary offerings specifically tailored for veterans and active-duty military, further solidifying the sense of communal respect for the sacrifices made by these individuals.
