The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's District 6 is investigating the incident, which was reported to have occurred on the 4800 block of Penrose at approximately 4:40 a.m. yesterday, as per a press release from the SLMPD. The 43-year-old victim recounted a scenario where he was forced at gunpoint out of his 2023 Kia K5 by two assailants.
The individuals responsible for this act were described as two males wearing dark clothing and ski masks. They arrived on the scene in a dark-colored sedan, confronting the victim who was seated in his vehicle behind a residence. Following the forced surrender of his vehicle, the carjackers drove away in his Kia, trailed closely by the sedan they originally arrived in.
