As the golden leaves of autumn give way to the chill of an approaching winter, residents of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, are reminded that the final days for yard waste collection are swiftly passing. According to the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the foliage disposal service will end during the week of November 25–30.
The city's dispatch reminds us that in anticipation of this collection finale, citizens must adhere to strict guidelines - yard waste is to be placed in personal reusable containers, compostable bags, or secured in bundles that stand apart from the refuse of day-to-day life. Despite the mundane nature of this task, it carries a weight, a weight not to exceed 40 pounds per container, to be set out no later than 7 a.m. to ensure its inclusion in the collection, as the season's heightened demands make timeliness a virtue, as per the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Deviations from this path, such as discarding yard waste in traditional bins or resorting to non-compostable plastic bags, are not just frowned upon, they are etched in law as illegal acts.
"Crews will not be collecting yard waste, garbage, organics or recycling on Thursday, Nov. 28 due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Collection for Thursday and Friday households will be delayed by one day," as stated by the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
