Oklahomans can expect a sunny start to the weekend with highs steadily climbing into the mid-50s, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Oklahoma City. The NWS reports today's conditions as "Sunny, with a high near 55," and a shift in wind patterns from south-southwest to north-northwest in the afternoon. NWS Oklahoma City also warns of possible wind gusts as high as 21 mph.
Temperatures are set to drop tonight, with the NWS predicting "Increasing clouds, with a low around 30." The transition from a north northwest wind to a more gentle and variable breeze post-midnight is expected to provide a brief respite from the chill. Look forward to the coming days, the pattern of pleasant sunshine persists with high temperatures consistently hovering in the low 50s — Sunday and Monday are forecasted to be "Sunny, with a high near 53" and "Sunny, with a high near 52," respectively.
As Monday night approaches, the NWS assures mostly clear skies with the low sitting around 30 degrees. This trend of clear skies continues through Tuesday, with an expected high of 54 degrees and a night time low of 44.
The rest of the week looks to maintain a higher range of temperatures, culminating on Wednesday with a high near 62 degrees amid mostly sunny conditions. However, rolling into the latter part of the week, the NWS suggests a slight increase in cloudiness. It is to expect "Partly sunny, with a high near 57" for Thursday and a continuation of the mild weather into Friday, with "Mostly sunny, with a high near 50."
