As evening approaches, the weather will shift with increasing clouds and an overnight low settling around 48 degrees.
Friday's forecast indicates a cloudy start, however, skies are anticipated to clear as the day progresses pushing the high near 72, and although a calm morning is expected, a southbound breeze at approximately 5 mph is likely by afternoon. By Friday night, Los Angeles could see a 30 percent chance of rain after 4 a.m., as clouds continue to build and the low again hovers around 48 degrees with new precipitation amounts potentially less than a tenth of an inch.
The weekend brings a greater likelihood of rain, particularly on Saturday where there is a 60 percent chance of rain, primarily after 10 a.m., the warmth is set to take a minor dip with the high near 61 and the night maintains the rainy outlook with similar chances for precipitation. Sunday may offer respite from the wetness during the day with partly sunny conditions and a high near 64, but yet again rain could return in the evening with the low around 51 degrees.
The pattern of rainfall continues into the new week with chances of rain persisting through Monday and into Tuesday, where daytime highs will stay in the low 60s and nighttime lows at or about 51 degrees, nevertheless by Wednesday the city might experience some reprieve from the damp, with only a slight chance of rain and a mostly sunny day in store and a high approaching 65 degrees as per the forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service.
