After months of investigation, authorities have apprehended a suspect in a case that shook the Lincoln-Lemington community last year. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Ronrie Lloyd, was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a shooting that fatally wounded 18-year-old Jamair Coachman in November 2023. According to Pittsburgh Police, Coachman succumbed to his injuries in April 2024, a grim end to a search for justice that has spanned several months.
Lloyd, whose arrest was the result of diligent work by the Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit detectives and the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, now faces a charge of Criminal Homicide. With the incident occurring on the 7300 block of Everton Street, the community has been waiting for answers and looking to law enforcement for closure.
Police have not shared details about the investigation or why Lloyd became a suspect. Lloyd is now in custody at the county jail, ending the manhunt but beginning the fight for justice for the Coachman family.
