A Pierce County neighborhood was disrupted on the evening of November 2nd when a man, allegedly under the influence, parked his truck in someone's front yard and almost hit their home. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies responded to the scene at 10:22 pm after receiving a call from concerned residents in Buckley.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered the man inside the truck, who appeared to be intoxicated. They requested that he step out of the vehicle, a command he refused. Struggling to detain the man, he clung to the steering wheel as deputies attempted to pull him out. Eventually, managing to pry his hand from the wheel, they brought him to the ground to handcuff him, park in a tricky situation, and they maneuvered.
The suspect was subsequently taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation, where deputies obtained a warrant to perform a blood draw essential for the DUI investigation. Following his clearance from the hospital, law enforcement proceeded with the man's arrest.
Charges were pressed against the individual for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest. Upon his release from the hospital, he was booked into the Pierce County Jail.
