A SWAT intervention took place in East Harris County yesterday after the sheriff's deputies received reports of a domestic violence situation. The Harris County Sheriff's Office relayed that the distress call brought law enforcement to a home situated on the 14800 block of Live Oak Green, which is nestled near the influence of Highway 90 and the tollway.
According to Click2Houston, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez described the situation, saying a conflict inside the home escalated when one person refused to leave. This led to the activation of the SWAT team, prompting the sheriff's department to advise community members to avoid the area for their safety.
The situation escalated, with a heavy law enforcement presence in the neighborhood throughout the afternoon. FOX 26 Houston reported that the public was warned about the significant police presence and the involvement of SWAT.
The standoff ended with the suspect in the custody of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Gonzalez stated that the situation was resolved thanks to the skill of law enforcement.
